Tamara hopes you join her as she blogs about her love of hiking. She is currently in the “day hiker” group, but hopes to change that soon. Tamara is transitioning to overnight hikes, and, eventually, long distance thru-hikes. The hiking triple crown, is on her hiker bucket list: the Appalachian Trail, the Continental Divide Trail and the Pacific Crest trail, (7875 miles in total) . Tamara believes a holistic hike is a healthy hike. Also, hiking brings out her spiritual side. This blog combines all three of her passions: hiking, spirituality, and holistic living. Join her as she learns all about the world of hiking, and brings her spirituality, nutrition skills and holistic living passion along for the ride.
This blog began its life with another name, My Walk in the Woods. As I have changed over the past few years, this blog, which has been dormant for some time, needs to be revived with a new name and a new look. Welcome to The Wholistic Hiker, where I combine my love of hiking with holistic living and my spiritual journey through life.
My spiritual passion has taken me on a journey from my roots as a strict Catholic, who attended Catholic school, to my current, spiritual beliefs of religious unity and love. If there is one thing I’ve learned on this journey, it’s to always follow the longing of the heart.
My heart has been longing to reach out to others, to talk about God and spirituality. I tried ignoring my heart’s longing, but it was rather insistent. This longing can no longer be silenced. So, join me, as I journal about Hiking, holistic living, God, spirituality, religion and my own personal journey. Namaste. 🙏
God Bless! May you always know his peace, his guidance and his love!
Namaste my friends.
