I like to snack at night. I think it is a stress related, calming mechanism. I’m hoping today’s affirmation will help me.
“I listen to my body and eat only when I am truly hungry.”
My better half goes to bed early, but I’m a late night lover. I’ve always liked to stay up late. It’s a time when the house is all quiet. I work hard during the day, but nights are my time to sit back and relax, while watching my favorite shows, and…snacking. I convince myself: “I’ve been good during the day. I deserve a treat.” I’m hoping that by saying this affirmation, when I’m tempted to snack at night, will help me to stop. What else can I try? I found an article: 10 Clever Ways to Stop Eating Late at Night, on healthline.com. Here are a few of their suggestions:
- Establish a structured eating routine.
- Plan your meals.
- Find other ways to de-stress
- Make sure you eat enough during the day.
- Distract yourself.
