Grief is the price we pay for love. ~ Queen Elizabeth II

My heart broke as I heard the news today, of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

I join the rest of the world in my sadness and express my heartfelt condolences to everyone in the royal family. My thoughts and prayers go with all of you. I don’t know what the world will be without her. I am an American, but held a special place in my heart for Queen Elizabeth.

Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth. The world will miss your wisdom and kindness.

  1. This is a beautiful tribute. It doesn’t seem quite real, does it? Or maybe it’s just me. I had such a bad feeling yesterday when I heard she was under medical supervision then saw family members were travelling up to be with her. And yet only on Tuesday, she met with the Prime Minister and she looked wonderful. It’s very sad, none more so than for the Royal Family. You don’t have to be a fan of Royalty to appreciate she was still a mother, grandmother, friend. I live in England and it’s always amazing to see so many from around the world held the Queen in their hearts in some way.

    Caz xx

    • 🙏 It doesn’t seem real. She represented stability. Our world has been in such disarray over the past 2 years. Her death seems to cut any ties to a happy world of the past. It’s scary to me.
