Today’s affirmation:
My time is valuable and I use it wisely.
It’s so easy to get lost in the world of the internet and social media. I think that’s part of the reason I decided to stop blogging for so long. There’s also the ever increasing streaming services with endless television. Gone are the days when you had to watch a show when it was on the network. These services suck us in and we often “binge watch” an entire season before we realize what happened. If you’re like me you say “Oh one more episode won’t hurt. I just have to know what happens next.”

Something I’ve been trying to do is not allow myself to use social media or watch any shows until after all my important work is complete. Setting aside a specific block of time in the evening or on the weekend for relaxing, social media and streaming will help you organize and get the important things done.

You’ve got that right!!! I’m a writer and spend about 7 hours on my computer. I should go back to the days of writing outdoors with a pen! I used to be outside as much as I could. It is quite common to lose oneself in the characters but even worse to binge watch a popular TV show. (We did that with Downton Abbey!)
Oh I love Downton Abbey! That’s an easy show to binge. Thanks for your comment.
Sometimes I binge watch a series then go a few weeks without entertainment.
That’s a good idea. Kind of like a “detox” from media. I may have to try that. Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. 🙏
